Upcoming Trainings ~ Fall 2011:
COMING INTO BEING ~ PATHWAYS OF THE EMBODIED MIND
is a series of workshops
designed to examine how an infant’s early life experience, embedded within a
relationship matrix, establishes patterns that shape and predict an adult’s organization
of experience. Underlying these patterns are neuro-developmental processes that serve
as an internal, foundational resource that clients can draw upon to resolve the effects of
trauma and developmental challenges later in life. Revisiting them consciously as adults
allows clients to reset their earlier conditioning, enhancing their capacity to receive
and integrate experience and stabilizing the secure base that is the foundation of living
resiliently.
SERIES I: BASIC NEUROLOGICAL PATTERNS:
Evolutionary And Developmental Pathways Of The Nervous SystemDrawing from recent developments in affective neuroscience, developmental psychology, mindfulness training, somatic psychology and relational, emotion-focused therapies, we examine the application of this work to the treatment of traumatic stress and disturbed attachment. Participants will explore the material experientially and learn innovative and practical techniques that help clients to access the innate healing intelligence of the bodymind.
